So you've seen part 1 of my packing list--all the clothes and accessories I'd plan to pack for my upcoming beach vacay. Next up are my vacation beauty essentials!

Since I'll no doubt be out soaking up the glorious sunshine every day, products containing SPF are a must. I plan on very minimal makeup--tinted lip balm and waterproof mascara are my go-to summer beauty items that are easy to pack in my purse or beach bag. I also cannot live without my Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray. It makes my hair look amazingly beachy, smells devine, and comes in an inexpensive travel size that is perfect to throw in a carryon. A fragrance atomizer for my perfume and some travel size bottles for sunscreen, contact solution and other liquids ensure my beauty products will pass TSA scans with flying colors!

What are your travel beauty essentials? xo.

the long bob

I've recently developed a borderline obsession with the long bob (aka "lob"). My Pinterest feed has been taken over by pictures of this adorable, modern cut, and I've finally decided to take the plunge and get one myself. Since this week is my birthday week and 4th of July weekend, I decided what better way to ring in a new year and holiday weekend than a fresh new 'do?

I made an appointment to get my hair cut with my favorite stylist at Zeeba Salon in Fort Worth and she did a phenomenal job as usual. I love how light and healthy my hair feels and am so happy with my decision. I went just a few inches below the collarbone and may see how I warm up to it before considering a shorter chop. For now, I'm in love with my new look and ready to see what 26 has in store! xo.
